Bowie and I were suppose to wake up at 6:00AM to go run around the lake but we don't get up until 6:45AM. Instead of running around the lake, we hiked to the Ho Chi Minh Museum for exercise and to snap some last minute photos. However, we couldn't get in because the museum attraction is by registration-appointment only. It also started to rain so we jumped in a taxi and went back to the hotel. We checked out around 11:00AM and went out to one last restaurant called Tre Place. The food here was real good. We had eggs mixed with some meat, fried pork, tomato and pineapple soup, rau muong (water spinach), and duck porridge. This place too was fancy. The food was delicious. It definitely hit the spot.
I was passed out on the 1.5 hour plane ride from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City.
We landed around 5:00PM and went straight to Anh Hung's house to wash up and rest up.
After dinner, Bowie, Sonny, and I went to this club called Cloud 9 to meet up with my friend Tony from college. Tony's friend, Tempo, was spinning that night. It was a private club. Tempo moved out to Vietnam with Tony about a year ago but he left about four months ago to go back to the States. He had flown in that same day after being away for four months. I contacted Mimi (the girl with the lost wallet) and asked her if she wants to go to a club tonight. She said her friend was DJ-ing at a club tonight. It turns out Tempo, Tony, Mimi, and a bunch of other Americanos are all a close bunch and we're all going to the same club. Tony tells me Mimi is his homey. I tell Mimi, Tony is my homey. We meet Mimi and Tony at the club. Although it was a private club, we didn't have a problem getting in. We got in for free with Tony and Tempo. Because the club was a private club, we couldn't buy alcohol. I didn't understand the reasoning behind this but whatever. Mimi shows up a bit later. I give Mimi her wallet back. We hang out with her, Tony, and his friends for two hours and leave at midnight. Sonny had taken off to a nearby internet cafe around 10:30PM, where he lost his camera.
